Have any Canadians used Globus tours to Kenya/Tanzania?

We have studied the package tours (Cdn) and determined that Globus has the best itinerary for us for 17 day Kenya/Tanzania tour. Anyone used them?

I've gone on more than 10 trips with Globus and have enjoyed them all. Recently heard they cancelled this tour for 2006. We went last year with Brenden (booked with affordable.com. Fabulous! Had a private safari in Kenya and we were only 5 people in Tanzania.

Sorry, Dankat. The correct site is affordabletours.com. They are online travel agents and they discount tours. I've booked my last 4 trips through them. Good Luck!

I cannot think of a worse way to do a safari than as part of a group tour with set itineraries. I have done a Globus Tour (Italy) and after doing so much independent travel, I really did not enjoy myself.

But, of all the places where I would least want a group tour/set itinerary, Africa has to be the #1 place. I would suggest that you do some research, build an itinerary that you really like, run it by people who have visited Kenya/Tanzania on this board and then send it out to some tour operators for quotes on a private safari.

Took your advice and asked Eastern &
Southern Safaris to tweak their Kenya/Tanzania private safari to include a few flights rather than all driving between locations. They were very obliging. We are still fine tuning flights - Air Transat from Toronto - Amsterdam Club Class seems like the best deal. Flights from Amsterdam to Nairobi although long, are all during daytime hours, so could put up with economy seats to save a few $$
Any comments?
