Has anyone tried to combine Egypt and Tanzania?

Just thought if I'm going that far , I'd try to do both. I'd probably have to go in early January(heat in Egypt and availabily of pet sitter)originating in Chicago. I'm not an experienced traveler and this board has lots of advice. Thanks

There are many operators who do combination Egypt/Kenya itineraries, so there have to be carriers that connect both Cairo and Nairobi. I'm not certain whether there are flights from Cairo into/out of Kilimanjaro (JRO) or Dar-es-Salaam (DAR), but you can check.

If not into Tanzania and you fly into Nairobi, from there you can do a land (about 4-hrs) departing twice daily from NBO, or air (1-hr) transfer to Arusha/Kili, Tanzania. Depending on schedules, you might need an overnight in Nairobi.
