It worked great Hari! (except I had to change over to large format, it was on original, you may want to delete the originals, takes up less room)

Anyhow - these are fabulous! The last one is really striking!

Magnificent! Wonderful photos Hari. The best, of course, of the cheetahs!

I only had trouble "size-wise" with the photo captioned "eyes". Everything else came up on my screen perfectly.

Please post more

Spectacular, truly. You captured the personality of each animal so exquisitely. I'd love to see more!

These duma pics made up for those I didn't see on my recent visit. Chui, yes! Simba, yes! Duma, NO... boo-hoo-hoo!

Thanks for posting these.

Hope to take a better look at all of mine and get them uploaded as soon as.

It would naturally start with cheetahs. The cheetah on the dead tree is my favorite. What a setting. Great lions and hyena. The hippo appears to be whitewater rafting at a level 2 or maybe 3.

Thanks, all ......

Sandi: If you read this, what part of the Mara did you stay at? These 5 days, I didn't see any outside the reserve - mostly in the Mara triangle/Rhino Ridge and Paradise plains.

Lynn - My guide at Kwando has taught me well about positioning the vehicle with regards to cheetah behaviour prediction. When I saw that log and the cheetah walk - I got my guide to move right away in order to position the vehicle early enough!

Thank you, Hari!! I'm counting the days until my first trip (9/4) and your photos gave me goosebumps. I'm just curious - what length lens were the wildlife images shot with? Again, many thanks.

Whoops, if ShayTay's reading this she's going to get concerned. Not that it really matters, but I'm actually leaving 9/7, not 9/4. (I have no idea where that came from, probably my desire to get to Africa sooner...)

Hari -

I was in two areas. One outside the reserve at Royal Mara. The other inside the reserve on the eastern side of Triangle just south of Naibor Camp at Entim Camp almost directly opposite Serena Lodge by 10km as the crow flies.

We drove from Royal Mara via the Musiara Gate, so covered a wide area... still no Duma.

Guess, I'll just have to return which won't be a difficult decision

Thanks all, for the further comments on the pics.

Aknards: I mostly used the Nikon 70-300 MM VR lens.

Sandi: Thanks for the info! Just a case of bad luck, I guess as that area as you will know is a cheetah magnet.
