Haifa - Acre & the Baha'i Gardens

It seems this is what we should do here as mentioned in a previous forum, we have been to Jerusalem. Is there a good private car company or are the taxi's sufficient? Any hints or warnings are greatly appreciated.

It is going to be very expensive doing this by taxi ( or private car) You may want to consider going by train. I guess the two most important pieces of information needed before the question can be properly answered are a. what day of the week is this ( no public transport Friday a few hours before the Sabbath until Sat. night) --same if it is a holiday and b. how much time do you have for this excursion?

From where are you starting? From your other post it seems like you're taking a cruise and stopping in Ashdod. Are you also stopping in Haifa?
Elkaz, are you thinking they're trying to go to Jersualem? Or like me are you unsure about whether they are starting in Ashdod (so getting north would be a problem)? Obviously if they dock in Haifa, Haifa and Akko are easy to visit and even a taxi would probably be less expensive that what the cruise line charges for these kinds of things.

Alex--wasn't thinking of Jerusalem. A taxi is less expensive, but a taxi needs direction. A cab driver is not a tour guide. I can't answer fully without knowing the day of the week and time they need to be back on the ship.

Thank you for the responses.
Yes, we will be on a Cruise.
Haifa on Tues Oct 15 and Ashdod on Oct 16
Haifa is a long day 0800 to 2300
Ashdod 0700-1500 and we don't want to go to Jerusalem (been there)
I know taxi's drivers aren't guides, just need some options before we decide what to do.
We like trains as well. If they are decent schedules that would work for us.

Again, thank you
