guesthouses in Windhoek, Namibia

Does anyone know anything about the Rivendell Guesthouse or the Embi Guest House in Windhoek?

Sorry, don't know either.

Had a pleasant stay in Hill Top House recently, if you're looking for additional suggestions.

I know that they are heavily promoted, from what I see on the Web. Having had an excellent stay at the Pension Handke in Windhoek in October, 2000, I hearily recommend that establishment. It is run by a very accommodating couple, it is close to downtown, but in a residential area, and it is down the street from the Hotel Furstenhof, where you can enjoy good dinners on the patio. The Handke is not fancy, but it has a lovely garden, with a fountain and a large bird cage, and secure off-street parking. If you're walking, the streets nearby are wide and well lit at night. ZZ
