Thanks for your helpful info - don't know what I'd do without this forum! I will definitely use a porter.

Divewop - I am in Rwanda at the Virunga Lodge from 22 Jan for 3 nights and then on to Uganda.

We'll be there then too!
I'll be taking photos for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, then off to Kenya on the 25th.

I leave here on the 14th, arrive Rwanda on the 16th. Sundowner joins me on the 20th.

We're trekking on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th. Looks like we'll all be trekking at the same time! Small world!!

It would be fun to trek to the same groups if possible. And/or grab a beer after the day's trekking and compare notes.

A gathering of fodorites in Rwanda! How funny!
