gorilla trekking

I am planning a 17 day trip to Uganda-Rwanda in Dec 06 - Jan 07 for gorillas, golden monkeys, and chimpanzees through Volvo Safaris Tours in Entebbe. First, has anybody had any experience with them? Second, I am interested in getting others to join me as it will cut my cost significantly to share the transport and guide expenses. My dates are still flexible at this point. I can email a link to the itinerary.

Sharon, will you be seeing the gorillas in Rwanda and in Uganda?
How many treks of each?

That's a nice long trip for Uganda and Rwanda!

Never heard of Volvo. Currently a couple of threads are discussing gorillas, Rwanda, etc. I did something similar for two Uganda & Rwanda trips, establishing the itinerary I wanted and then the agent brought the others on board. Both times we had 5 total in Uganda but I was alone in Rwanda.

Why don't you just post the itinerary here to generate more interest in your trip?

I too am curious about how many treks in each country and your other activities. There is a cool bat cave in Queen Elizabeth that is worth seeing but not always on the itineraries.

Good luck!

Here's a link to the itinerary, which is now scheduled to start Dec 20.

The highlights are two days of gorilla trekking and another of golden monkeys and others for chimpanzees.
