With regards to the price, yes it can be heart stopping but when you consider the experience you'll take home with you it's worth it. I spent months trying to find reputable comapny that was within my budget without being TOO budget and booked with Gorilla Tours in Entebbe, Uganda. I will post my experience with them upon my return at the end of May this year.

We used travelust, a Ugandan owned company. We flew from NJ to Entebbe and toured throughout uganda, to Bwindi and then into Rwanda. We spent 9 days, did 2 treks (successful both times) and it cost us @$3000.00 each.
We liked this company very much and, being Ugandan owned and operated, our guide knew the ins and outs of the country.
