Good itinerary for Egypt

I am going to Egypt at the end of March for one week. I am flying into Cairo, but am considering trying to fit in Luxor and the Red Sea as well. Any thoughts or advice on what I should try to fit in during that time would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You will definitely want to spend a few days in/around Cairo, so that doesn't leave much time for a 2nd, and especially 3rd, place. Luxor and the Red Sea offer very different experiences, of course. Do you want beaches and diving/snorkeling, or does Pharonic Egypt appeal more, is what it comes down to. I wouldn't try to do both, though, as you will be rushed and spending all your time en route.

Me, I'd opt for Luxor. You can find beaches all around the world, but there is only one Karnak, one Luxor, one Valley of the Kings, and so on. Just my opinion.

Have a great trip - Egypt is spectacular.
