Good book for a safari adventure

My wife and I will be travelling to Botswana in about a week, and I'm looking for recommendations on a good book. Since this will be quite a journey,I'm looking for an adventurous book that also provides a great sense of being. Any thoughts??

How about The Constant Gardener by John Le Carré. It actually takes place in Kenya and is about people living there, not travellers, but it really held my interest. I also just finished 2 mysteries that take place in Botswana, but they are hard to find, so you might not have time to find them before you leave. They are No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency and Tears of the Giraffe both by Alexander McCall Smith (a Scottish author). Henderson the Rain King by Saul Bellow was also very good. Have fun. I didn't end up reading as much as I thought I would when I was on safari.
