Going to Egypt
 

I had been toying with the idea of going to Egypt, and after reading some of the posts last week, I decided to go.
My first chore was to try to use miles to go from NY to Cairo. To my great surprise, I was able to get 2 business class seats on Delta.
Since so many fodorites had good experience with Ahmed, I contacted him. We planned the itinerary and he made all the necessary arrangements in 3 days. We are leaving on Sept. 12th!
Our trip seems wonderful and I can't wait to go. I want to thank everyone who posted; your feedback was most helpful. I will report when I return.
Now I am wondering what to pack.

That's great -- the very best use of miles is often for international business class seats. How many miles did it take, 120,000?

We're going on Delta non stop. 120,000 miles.
