Giraffe Manor??
Could you please give me some insights about Giraffe Manor? We will be in Nairobi two days before the safari takes off--do you think this is a good solution for one night before our safari? Thanks so much. Jan

If it doesn't break your budget. It's rather expensive. Ngong House is also in the neighborhood, as is House of Waine. Giraffe Manor and Ngong House a bit more expensive than HOW. All are available FB, HB or BB. The latter, being the least expensive.

I thought it was a nice gentle way to adjust to the locale and get over jet lag before the pace picked up on safari.
I found it (Giraffe Manor) more relaxing than staying at one of the more typical hotels. |
I just looked at Kristina's album from another post, and she has pictures of the Giraffe Manor which may interest you:

I stayed in March. It's a nice hotel and, if you want to have close encounters with giraffes, it is the place to go. I tend to agree with Sandi though that it is overpriced - it relies on the Out of Africa story a bit too much !
