Just saw this clever combo by Patty.
"You could also just book the ground package through R&N and have Roys issue your JRO-KGL/KGL-NBO tickets (that way you'd have them in hand) depending on what the cost is in January."
But would Roys be willing to do that do you think if you are not doing any ground with them?

OK, do I feel dumb. Guess I was a bit naive having never mailed anything to a place so far away. I figured they were just price gouging because they could, but you made me curious, so I went to UPS.com and it really DOES cost that much to send a package letter to Rwanda!!!! However, I still was shocked to see that it costs that much...but I see that they are being reasonable charging that.
Thanks for pointing that out to me Patty. OK...pulling foot out of mouth now
I don't know if Rwandair issues e-tickets. I can't get any response from them, after e-mailing them twice. Guess I could try calling them.
E-tickets would be great!
As for getting the tickets from Roy's...don't forget I'm using them for the Kenya/Tanzania portion so I'd be shocked if she didn't want to issue me the tickets even if I go with someone else for the Rwanda portion.
Reasonable, right?

It's not unusual for visitors covering Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda, to book the Rwanda segment on their own. And, it's not unusual to have your TO handle the air tickets getting you between each of these countries. Roy's can certainly book the tickets and email or fax copy of the receipt for you to present at the airports. Your name will already be on the manifest of "expected/booked paxs" - you just have show your receipt/ticket. The in-country outfitter most often has better relations with the air providers and quicker/direct access with them.
