Hi-I am planning a trip in Sept/Oct, and would like to visit Cape Town, Okvengo Delta, Chobe and Vic Falls for 2-3 weeks. I have come across reasonably priced packages for the companies above, and am hoping to get advice/recommendations from anyone who has traveled with them recently. I am looking for reasonably priced, a mix of camping/tenting, hiking/canoeing and I don't want to be stuck in the back of a bus for 3 weeks. Also I may be traveling alone, I am 36 and female, and am hoping for a good mix in fellow travelers. I would really appreciate any advice or recommendations for companies to use, I don't think I would feel comfortable winging it (which is what I usually do), but I also don't want to be on an escorted tour. Thank you and I always post a trip report in hopes of helping others.

Hi,

I haven't travelled with any of the companies you mention, however, I can recommend Explore Worldwide. They are a UK company with consistently high standards of transport, accommodation, staff and game viewing. You might be interested in their 14 day Botswana Wildlife tour which is (basic) full service mobile camping, which visits the delta, Chobe and Vic Falls.

A friend of mine went to Mexico with GAP and was happy with her tour.

Cheers,

Polly.

i took djoser's tour mexico city to playa del carmen - 16 days - had a great trip!! it was a dutch trip - 3 of us from the us - fun people. with djoser, you can go with the group ( eating, sight seeing, ... ) or go off by yourself. we had a great guide!!

i hope to go capetown -- victoria falls trip next fall/spring , maybe with djoser or on my own - english speaking so it should be easy. i went to mexico city 4 days early ( there is so much to see and do ) and i did fine with the little spanish i learned.

look foreward to reading your report.

have fun and hang loose
