Game parks in Eastern South Africa

I have five days in eastern South Africa following a meeting in Durban in the 2nd half of September.

I am deciding between hiking in the Drakensbergs, a few days at the Gazebo Safari Lodge in the Hluhluwe Park or the Tembe Elephant Lodge.

Has anyone been to either of the two lodges? Any other comments on the area?

Your choice depends on what you want to experience. Obviously if you want to see wildlife then a game park/safari type place, as per those you mentioned is the thing to go for. One you didn't mention is Phinda, which is also very nice. However the Drakensberg is much more spectacular scenery and yes, a hiker's dream, specially around the area referred to as the middle Berg (central area).
