While researching Uganda posts i saw that you had used Great Lake Safaris. How was your experience with them? We are taking 3 months off work to travel around East and South Africa and will spend the first 3 weeks with them. Also i am trying to choose between a Highlands trek or Kili via Rongai or Lemosho, any experience on these routes?
Thanks in advance.

I selected Great Lakes as the result of a very positive article written by a local reporter for the Washington Times! It was an excellent choice.
It is a small company and we were treated like old friends and not clients. Owner Amos and his wife Amy met us at Entebbe airport. Our guide was Martin and he was great - driving us all over Uganda! He is also an avid birder which is a bonus in Uganda as they have the most incredible bird species.
I am still close friends with the whole team and know that they will take excellent care of you!
Kili is something you should only do if you really want to! If you are thinking of choosing between Kili and a highlands trek then I would go with the trek rather than the climb.
But if you are really serious about Kili, then I suggest you visit go-kilimanjaro.com for an in-depth explanation of the decisions in terms of routes, etc.
