Flight Options from Johannesburg to Kilimanjaro International (JRO)
 

Does anyone know what my flight options are for round trip flights from Johannesburg to Kilimanjaro International? Ideally I'd like to leave early in the morning and get to JRO around mid-day but am open to whatever flights I can get.

I looked at SAA's website but it wouldn't accept any of my dates (Feb 2011) and I know some flights are only on certain days of the week. What other airlines fly this route?

i'm usually very good at finding things online but am struggling with this one!

Not into Kilimanjaro/JRO direct. Ethiopian Air flies via Addis Ababa. Kenya Air has flights from JNB to Nairobi/NBO Kenya (and maybe someone flies into Dar-es-Salaam/DAR in southern Tanzania_.

Actual flight schedules are strange, with long layover if Ethiopian; if on Kenya Air you'd need a short connecting flight to JRO. Flying time is about 4/hrs and fares aren't cheap; if return can run from $750 to $1,000+.
