Finding a driver in Kenya..
 

Hello,

I will be going to Kenya next April and will be getting/booking my own hotels...I have already booked Ithumba Camp for 3 days. I am wondering, though...how to go about getting a driver. I will be 2 days first in Nairobi...then the drive (after getting supplies) down to Ithumba...then over to Voi for 2 days....then back to nairobi. My main reason is going to see my foster elephants...thank you for any help...

Ask Ithumba to recommend a driver to handle. I'm sure they work with or know reputable companies that can provide such service.

I have been to Ithumba twice using a guide and vehicle from Eastern and Southern Safaris in Nairobi and will be going again in September. I believe Sheldrick can also provide their own vehicle and guide at a slightly higher cost than what most tour operators generally charge. Have a great trip! Thank you so much for all these replies. The internet is a great place and I am finding out alot before this trip. Yes, I will also be going to Voi for a few days as my Dida is now there. And of course, I will be going to the Nursery in Nairobi. I have a driver/4x4 now, thank you. It is going to be quite an adventure!!
