Fes during Ramadan

I am heading to Fes with some friends in October and just realized that it will be right at the start of Ramadan. Has anyone been there during this time? I am assuming shops and restaurants will be closed but tourist sights/museums and markets will be open.

Any experiences and suggestions are appreciated!

Just go ahead. Life is more peacful during this month. Start your day tour around 9 am. By 5 pm will be a reasonable time to go back to your hotel because sun sets arround 5:30 and there only be cats on the streets
