kiwi-rob, if for some unknown reason my son bales out on me, i will place you first in line for adoption.

But thank you ALL so much for you input

I am writing this, knowing that i hopefully will not check this site out before i BOOK my trip.
i actually found wildlifepainter's comment about WS not letting others to enter into cometion "helpful" thou I am sure costly.
I have decided that i want to go with the WS camps, and am getting totally stressed out about finding perhaps another tour operator who might save me a hundred dollars here or there- or figuring out how to read the economic situation to determine WHEN to book the trip.

I want to got to Botswana at the end of may with my son. I love all the information I am getting from all of you, but now I want to start asking DIFFERENT questions.
So next post will be those questions. What camera lens do I need, should I take a slingshot, etc.
but until those posts, again, you ALL have been SO SO helpful.

Lynn, whilst I appreciate you adding your input, please do not just bring up any old trip report as a citation.

Everything needs to be placed into context. 2005 was a low rainfall year in Botswana. This made game viewing in May above average.

It is also a report without a flowing Savuti channel.

Whilst all your inputs are appreciated, the issue with the site is a lack of context in most posts.

Thanks for the qualifier Shumba. Amycyma has just departed so I hope she enjoys her choices.
