Fee for taking photos

I would appreciate some up-to-date price info. for the cost of taking photos while visiting the museums and monuments in Egypt. Our itinerary includes: stops in Cairo, Luxor, and a Nile cruise. I will be using a digital (still) camera.
Thanks in advance for your help.

We were just in Cairo. We were not charged a fee for still or video photography. Cameras of any type were not permitted inside the pyramids or the Egyptian museum. If you had a camera with you - you had to leave it with a man in street clothes. To me it did not look very secure. The man would be walking across the courtyard with 20 cameras handing by their straps as he walked. At the Great Pyramid, a man sat on a blanke with the cameras in front of him. You tipped him as you collected your camera.
We left our cameras with our guide.
