Favorite Scenic/Adventurous Spot - Where to Travel Next?

We are looking at our big fall trip (normally October or November). Right now we have narrowed it down to either: Namibia; Cambodia/Vietnam/Laos; Borneo/Malaysia; or Sri Lanka. Thought of Papua New Guinea but heard the government is unstable. We are active and adventurous in our 40s, but as the female...I do enjoy some creature comforts while traveling. We have done biking trips to China/Turkey/Morocco, hiked in Nepal, safaried in southern Africa so you can see that although we like culture, we also like to be active. Enjoy beaches but only for a short part of trip. So where should we go next????

Well if you post on this board you are going to be given a zillion reasons to visit Africa.
Namibia in November is great, so hey if you're in that neck of the woods why not?
While you there how about an excursion into Botswana via the Caprivi strip?
Hey and if you are up on the Caprivi, eastern side, you could find some salatious creature comforts at either Lianshulu Lodge or Susuwe, your trip being in November is perfect timing for the great elephant congrgregation at Horseshoe bend on the Kwando river...literally thousands....

Any more reasons to visit Namibia?
Well the Himba are being westernised, thanks to the likes of wilderness safaris slapping a camp in their territory, so if you are there, best you hang a left and head up north and west to catch a glimpse of them before they "detribalise".

Plus plus....Oh and this year saw the sossusvlei flood, an event last witnessed five years ago, doubt there will be any water left should you get there, but chances are good that the vegetation is going to be at it's greatest bloom ever.

Ok, need any other reasons? Wait and the gang of fodorites that sleep, dream and travel Africa are gonna give them to you..
