Family trip to Private Game Reserve?

My husband and I took a trip to South Africa 2 years ago and stayed at Singita. It was fabulous! Now we want to take a return trip with our 2 sons (ages 13 &14). Our first choice would be to stay at Singita again but unfortunately they will not allow more than 2 to a room and we do not want to split up into 2 different houses. Has anyone stayed at a private game reserve with older children? Is anyone aware of any of the "luxury" game reserves that offer family accomodations. Adjoining rooms would be fine. thanks! Susan

We visited the Kruger in August 1999. Two adults and two boys aged then 11 & 13. We stayed at Koka Moya private game reserve. We were in two separate thatched huts - I am sure that you could request two adjacent huts. We had a terrific three nights & days.
Be aware that many game reserves in South Africa won't accept any children at all.
Have a wonderful time!

Mala Mala Main Camp has a family room (two inter-leading rooms): children 8 to
12 years pay 50% and children over 12 years pay the full adult rate.

Singita Private Game Reserve has two inter-leading rooms at Ebony (suites 8
and 9) and the children pay the full adult rate.

Ulusaba Private Game Reserve has a suite at Rock Lodge called "The Rock
Suite": it has 2 bedrooms - one with a king size bed and one with a queen
size bed (so the children would have to share a bed) - children pay the full adult rate.

Thornybush Game Reserve have two family suites which can accommodate 4
guests in each, the suite has one double bed and the children are
accommodated on a sleeper couch. Children pay the full adult rate.

Bert, Thanks for all the great information! I had already looked into the Ebony Suites at Singita but they aren't available during our stay. I will definitely check out the others. Thanks again, Susan
