Experience with Experience Egypt?
 

I have been working with them on my Egypt itinerary for this Dec. Later I found out that I have to pay in full in advance and will incur a 5% penalty if I cancel. That makes me a little nervous. I have searched the forum and the latest thread was last year about their website disappearing. Would anyone be able to tell me if it is a reputable company?

I just returned from a Nov trip to Egypt arranged by Lady Egypt tours. I worked with Amanda from this company who was responsive and knowledgeable ahead of time and very much so during our trip when we made changes to our itinerary as we went along. I was only asked to pay 50% up front. The guide they provided was very good, the cruiseline they booked for our tour on the Nile (Crown Empress) was excellent and all the transfers (of which we had quite a few and at odd times) were prompt and no hassle. We toured Cairo, Abu Simbel, Aswan, and Luxor through this company. I would use them again.

Have a look at Discover Egypt. I wouldn't use anyone else.

We just returned from a two-week trip with Lady Egypt (also known as Experience Egypt). They are GREAT. All of the staff were very professional. The tour guides are excellent (Big Mo for Cairo & Alexandria and Mahmud for Aswan & Luxor). The representatives in Cairo, Aswan, Sharm, and Luxor were all VERY helpful, prompt, and courteous. Every step of the way, this company exceeded our expectations. They accomodated an itineray change very easily. I would highly recommend Lady Egypt/Experience Egypt tours.
