I was in the bank then walking to the post office when I heard the helis overhead (so darn dangerous over the city streets). Inquired of my favorite government worker who told me what happened. Managed a peek at a TV at a nearby shop then headed home. I'm about 1/2 mile north and all was fine up this way. Thanks all for asking about us Big Apple folks.

Thanks for checking in - my hometown has grown to include Fodorville, and you've been in my thoughts; I guess since 9/11 it's grown to include all of NYC too. Sad about Corey and the other who passed - 16 others injured, 11 of whom are our hero-firefighters. I hope no other lives are lost.
