We went to Rwanda 2 years ago. I was 63 and my friend 72! We requested a easy group and were assigned an easy trek. However, as someone has already said, the gorillas don't always cooperate. it was pouring rain and we hiked uphill for 4 hours till we spotted them. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. I don't understand how they could have managed a chair on the slick and dangerous climb, but i was told that they have. The next trek was so easy-20 minutes and there they were. Although my body was shot form the first experience, i think that we enjoyed it more. it was definitely more exhilirating.
Def do it! You only live once!!!
