Electricity in Egypt vs Camcorder Recharging

Message: We are planning on going to Egypt this winter. A couple of days in Cairo and a Nile cruise. One of my concerns is for electricity. I have just got a new camcorder and understand that electricity in
Egypt is 220 where we use 110. Are the hotels and cruise ships equipped so that camcorder batteries can be plugged in for recharging?

We had no problem with recharging our camcorder.in all the hotels and the cruise ship we stayed. Check your recharger; I think it tells you the range it can be used and includes 220 and 110. But bring adapters because the sockets are different from the US; I forgot the shape. Travel guides should tell you which kind.

I forgot to add that sand can get into your camcorder. Ours did and had to be serviced and cleaned
