Egypt - November or March

Hi, I am planning a trip to Egypt. Cairo and then down the Nile. Can anyone tell me which is the best time to go weather wise? Either early November or late February? What sort of temperatures can I expect?

Thank you!

We toured Egypt in March, 1998 and covered Alexandria down to Aswan and the Sinai. The temperature was very pleasant (in the 60s - 70s); this allowed me to wear long-sleeve shirts which is recommended in this Arab country where modesty is very important. There was 1 day of sand storm which is common during that time of the year.

March is notorious for sandstorms which can be not only annoying but life threatening. The temperatures are very mild in the area around Cairo but as you travel further south toward the equator the temperatures will rise to 80 and above.

November is fairly warm and humid (the Nile fuels the humidity) but is not prone to duststorms. THis year because of the millennium you will run into more people than usual as December is basically sold out.

I would go in November as the weather is more predictable although warmer.
