Egypt - Need Help!
 

Does anyone have any experience with an Egypt tour? I am currently looking at Kensington Tours and would love anyone's experience on them or other groups that you liked or disliked.

I'm currently planning an Egypt trip and planning a private tour through either Mephisto or Lady Egypt (there are many more who do a great job. Reviews on tripadvisor). I don't think you need a group tour as it's very affordable right now to do a private one with your own guides and drivers. Even the guest house we are considering does a very affordable and well reviewed private tour.

Crossfit Gal - I agree that Egypt's a great value right now. We used Djed which I can recommend highly and we heard good things about Lady Egypt. I didn't use them because I had very particular requests and they responded with generic replies but others have had a good experience. I agree with christablr that there are plenty of reliable operators including Samir at Real Egypt who would have been my second choice.

To get the best price you should consider using an Egyptian travel agent or tour company rather than one in the US or UK who will mark up that package and have the whole thing organized through the local company anyway.

I used Le Caire Travel in Egypt 3 times they were excellent in programs and prices .. just back from long Nile cruise it was wonderful and safe
