Egypt - hotel accomadation - number of people in one room

Hello..
I'll be travelling to Egypt in Feb. I was trying to make reservations in the hotels (sheraton, hilton, etc..) in Cairo and in Sharm, but unable to get one room for the family.

I thought that it is only in europe where the # of people in room limitation. But it looks like in Egypt too.

How does other people travelled (with 2 kids) in Egypt handled this..? Do we need to book two rooms..?

Or Egypt hotels are more accomadating..?

Thank you for all your help

hi, we were in egypt this dec 2004. stayed in conrad cairo. they upgraded us to executive room which had 2 queen beds. we were 2 adults and 1 kid, but 2 kids should be ok. they charge extra for the kids though.

We are going to Egypt in March and had the same problem booking 2 adults, 2 children. We finally went with key2holidays, who were able to book us 1 standard room with 2 beds at Hilton in Cairo/Sheraton in Luxor and Hyatt in Sharm. They said that they had a contract with the hotels that allowed them to do it!?! It did cut the cost almost in half. Hope that helps!
