Egypt Highlights Payment Question
 

I tacked on this question to another post, so forgive me if I'm bothering forum participants with a separate posting now. I just need advice rather promptly.

I am strongly considering traveling with Egypt Highlights because I need a very precise, concise travel schedule. Their responses have been very professional, but I have been asked to pay the full amount of the tour by wire transfer upfront.

The tour would be from Jan 22-29. I'm writing this on Nov 16. Does this seem right to you?

Final payment for tours can be from 90-60-45/days prior arrival at your destination. If Egypt Highlights requires 60/days, then yes, full payment would be required within the next 5/days.

Similarly,they list a license number 602 and an IATA NO of 90-211225. Do you happen to know where I can check those out?

A number of posters over the past years have used Egypt Highlights with positive experiences.

A search on this board for Egypt Highlights will bring up these queries and possible trip reports.

Sorry, can't comment on the license # (pressume this might be Egyptian); the other is from IATA, International Association of Travel Agents.

josephina - you can google IATA and their number and see their listing. This is merely a registry of agents who are able to issue airline tickets. There is little doubt they are legitimate since there is no real reason for anyone to pretend to be able to issue airline tickets. Remember this doesn't give them a Better Business Bureau gold star. Keep trying to find someone who can recommend them. Chances are they are fine.
