Egypt During Christmas/new years

My husband and are thinking about going to Egypt during the holidays. Our concern is that many of the temples and so called tourist attactions will be closed. Can anyone tell me what is closed and if so what days.

Christmas and New Years is probably one of the busiest times of the year in Egypt. Egypt is a Muslim country, they don't celebrate Christmas (as a country), though there are Christians living in Egypt who probably celebrate individually.

If few places are closed during Ramadan, a holy period for Muslims, doubt anything will be closed during Christmas.

Mosques, hotels, the Egyptian Museum, the pyramids, sphinx, Memphis, Saqqara, the Nile cruises, Abu Simbel, etc. will all be operating.
