Egypt clothing info needed & currency info
 

We are leaving for Egypt in a couple of weeks. Are capri pants appropriate with sandals. I’m taking long pants and sneakers also. Just curious what you wear in the cities like Cairo etc.

Also do we need to exchange money or use dollars.

Wear anything you’re comfortable in. They’ve been used to foreigners for centuries.

You’ll need Egyptian currency which you can get from ATMs. Easy. There’s one outside in the wall of the Cairo terminal building as you exit, the first one I used on arrival. Or was, ask if it’s moved.

whenever you will be in a touristic place egypt you can dress as you want like things till knee or covered shoulder still ok but when you will visit local places or religious spots you need to wear modest cloth
