Egypt and Israel--Best month for weather?
DH and I are starting to think of a trip combining the highlights of Egypt and Israel, particularly Jerusalem. We are seniors and have traveled Europe and Asia on our own for over 25 years.
Neither of us object to cool weather, but we want to avoid the hottest months especially. There will be many more factors to consider for such a trip, including how much time to allow to see the highlights. We are retired, so we're flexible on schedules. Help us with some idea of the best travel dates for this trip. Thanks, Barb in GA |
We were in Egypt in late January and Israel for the month of FEbruary 2023. Weather was good in both places. Luxor was very warm but the rest of our trip was fine. We traveled all over Israel and had nice weather the entire month & into the first week of March. I was a little concerned about Egypt as iin 2022 they had a very cold winter, but it was mild for us. Mornings and evenings could be cool. We prefer cool weather to hot weather.

We were in Egypt and Jordan in January. It ranged from being cold to cool to slightly warm. We enjoyed the weather and were properly dressed for it. My clothing ranged from a down coat to a jean jacket. I can’t stand being hot so this was perfect. It wasn’t crowded at the famous sites either.

For those who prefer cold weather or not used to the temperatures in the middle east, October to February are definitely better months to visit.
