Egypt Air: smoking allowed?

Is smoking allowed or not allowed on international flights (New York to Cairo) of Egypt Air?

I think smoking IS allowed on international EgyptAir flights but not on domestic EgyptAir flights.

3 years ago it was allowed in last few rows of coach (JFK-Cairo). Most of smoking was being done by flight crew. We were sitting halfway up plane and could not smell any smoke.

We loved EgyptAir - newer planes, efficient service, although weird food.

I believe smoking is allowed on all flights, but mainly in the last few rows. If the smoking will really bother you, try to request a seat as close to the front as possible.

Traveled NYork to Cairo last February on Egypt Air. Definitely no smoking. When I was checking them out last year, they had a web site and this information was prominently posted there. I had read accounts on some board of staff standing in back of plane smoking despite the smoking ban. That did not happen on either international flight I was on or the flights to Aswan & Luxor.
