Egypt air
Is it worth the extra cost to upgrade on Egypt Air to business class from coach? Thanks.

Depends some on how much it will cost? A couple of years ago our friends were able to upgrade at the airport (NY) on day of their flight for only $500 pp (obviously Egypt Air still had availabble Biz Class seats). I would seriously consider that, even if only works for the eastbound flight TO Egypt!

Egypt Air is a dry airline. No booze. I had two three ounce containers with vodka and had the only real drink on the plane. The seats are not that big in business. Check seatguru.

I believe it depends where you are flying from. International possibly, however, internally, Lady Egypt told me not to bother as there is no difference in seating, meals and possibly treatment. I'm flying business from Australia so I thank god for every extra inch in seat pitch. Even if Egypt Air's business class isn't the same as a 5 star airline, it would have to be better than Economy.. surely??

I see where Wally took two three oz containers of vodka on the plane. My friend and I would like to do this and wonder if it was any problem? The small bottles are actually less than 3oz each. I assume you put the in your quart sized plastic bag in your carry on?

I've known people to take much bigger bottles with them. They just bought them in the duty free shops past the security checkpoints.

No drinks on a plane-My husband would kill me!! Glad we're flying Buz American-tapped my miles out. But worth it.
|
I'm not a drinker so no booze isn't a problem at all. My Husband is yet to be convinced that a "dry airline" would be profitable! lol

If I'm not mistaken, Egypt Air is government owned and as with almost all government owned businesses in Egypt, profit isn't a worry or factor. Go figure.
