Early in my research -- one week in Morrocco -- where should we go?

Excuse my ignorance -- I have just begun my research on a potential trip to Morrocco in the spring. Hoping you could tell me where to go - -Marrakesh, Fez, etc.

Given that we may go to war, is this a safe place to be?

thanks

Morocco is fabulous -been there 4 times in 2 yrs. If war, Morocco would probably be safer than America. People are very friendly and country is beautiful. Re; cities to explore, it depends on what you are looking for, and what you want to do. Feel free to write me with questions.

Weather in Morocco is lovely in April.
Roses are abloom

If you are traveling alone I highly recommend an escorted tour.

you can cover Rabat, Fez, Marakesh and Casablanca in 8 days and 6 nights.

Rabat is the Imperial capital city of Morocco. Fez is the cultural and educational center. Marakesh is called the pearl of the south (a beautiful city)Casablanca is the economic capital (do your bargaining here)

If you would like a recommendation for a reputable tour company feel free to email me

all the best

We spent 8 days in Morocco and used BlueMenofMorocco.com. We were very happy with everything they planned for us and absolutely loved our guide Zaid. Here is a link to my trip report if you are interested: http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...s-tangines.cfm
