Dubai- do I really need to spend a fortune on food?

I can get and stay in Dubai at a really good price but can I eat without breaking the bank or do I just accept it will cost a fortune? I would appreciate your advice!

Dubai has relatively inexpensive dining when compared to europe and the US - and some great restos from all over.

whats expensive is alcohol. the cheapest wine bottle will cost $30. you could save big time by purchasing at the dubai duty free on ur way in.. max 4 bottles of anything and enjoy it in your room...

emad
thanks I honestly thought that it was expensive to eat out.
when I land at dubai I can get 4 bottles at duty free? I thought it was 1 litre only?

frank.
You won't be able to buy duty free upon arrival in Dubai. You must get it from your departure airport,as always, incidentally. Enquire there, how much is allowed. I think, it's 1 liter strong alcohols like vodka, rum, gin, etc. OR two bottles of wine per person (adults only).

>You must get it from your departure airport,as always

Just a note that this is not always true. There are several (possibly many) countries where duty free can be purchased upon arrival.
