Driving on the Left - suggestions

Hi

I've noticed a few questions from various people about driving on the opposite side of the road.

I am a South African who is in the US and had to learn drive on the right.

What someone told me and has been incredibly helpful is TO ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT THE DRIVER IS CLOSEST TO THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. This is 'cos the steering wheel is usually on the opposite side of the car to the side you drive on.

This helps immensely when turning corners or going from a one way road to a regular road. I hope this helps at least one person. It's been my saving grace on numerous occasions.

On some of the British Caribbean Islands they drive on the left but you have both left and right hand drive cars on the roads.
