Drive time from Serena Mt. Lodge to Lk Nekuru?

Since I changed my itinerary from the Ark to Nakuru to the Serena Mt. Lodge to Nakuru I wonder what the drive time is on the later? Thanks in advance, Darlene

It took us 3 hours with a brief stop at Thompson's Falls and 3 stops at police roadblocks, so something over 2 hours would be quite doable. Roads are good and allow a rapid pace.

Darlene

keep in mind that when Kimburu says "hours" it actually means "African hours" - the special theory of Relativity applies here...
There's always a chance of the often road repairs or some jam near Nakuru...

But, i suggest a longer stop at T-Falls
(Nyahururu being the non-colonialist name) It is worthwhile to go down to the falls, see the beautiful forest (just consider the steepness of the ascent back) or walk on the level trail to the head of the falls. rather few tourists do it (i think the drivers only give them enough time to buy curios. BTW rather cheap there)

You may decideto shorten it & have more time at the park (if only one night) before lunch;
& the rains that more often come in the afternoon...

PS did you want to switch to Serena?
i'm not sure i would prefer it over the ark (been to both, plus TreeTops, numerous times). can specify differences, regulars, rarities etc' if u want

Yes, Aby, please post the differences, regulars, rarities etc. for the Ark, Serena Mountain Lodge, and the Treetop. Thanks.

I've booked one night at the Serena Mountin Lodge for August next year, curious to know your thoughts.
