Does anybody have experience with satellite phones while in the bush???

I am considering renting a satellite phone for my upcoming holiday. I will be in South Luangwa, Zambia, in the bush for five nights, completely isolated from the regular use of a telephone.

It seems like the cost will be about $200 (1 month rental is cheaper than 2.5 weeks) plus $2 USD per minute.

Anybody with any feedback about satellite phones??? Thanks.
