Do trains run directly from Tangier to Fez??

I would just like a bit of clarification on whether there is a direct train running from Tangier to Fez? If so, how long is the journey, and any clues on costs & times would be much appreciated. If not, any ideas on the best way to get there given that we are only in Morocco for 3 days, but I really really would like to go to Fez!!
Thanks for your help!

There are trains to Fes, but you change in Meknes. The rail schedule I have is 4 years old, so I wouldn't trust it to be correct (it wasn't even correct four years ago!).

The rail system used to have a website, but it's not coming up. If you contact the tourist bureau, they will send you a railway schedule - but check the schedule when you get to Tangier.

Leave Tangier as soon as you can; it is an unattractive port city with dirty beaches; Fez, Meknes, Chefchouan are better places to spend your time.
