do canadians need visas for egypt
 

I know that americans can get visas at the airport on arrival in cairo- does anyone know if this is the case for canadians?

It is the same for Canadians. You can buy visa on arrival at the airport for US$15.

4bams, the visa's are valid for 30 days and fyi you can use Canadian dollars also upon arrival. It was 20.00 cad per person and if you are arriving at the new terminal 3 they are available at the currency exchange kiosk. You just peel the back off and stick it in your passport.

do I need to bring photos? do they need to be official passport photos? is there any need to buy visas ahead of time ( a real pain, need to send passport to consulate etc)

you don't need any photos for visas. The process is very simple. You just go to the nearest currency xchange booth and buy a visa, then line up at the passport control line, not as scary as in the US.

Do we need any kind of "shots' to go to UAE and Egypt from Canada
