Desert Camel Trek in late June?

Hi all,

I know late June isn't the best time for an overnight desert camel trek. However, is it possible, or will I truly regret it? I feel that I'd regret it more going all the way to Morocco and missing it...

Cheers, Natasha

My trusty Egyptian guide Tonto, er, Magdi, refuses to take people to the desert in June b/c of the heat. I suspect that reputable guides in Morocco will do the same.....

We were facing the same dilemma and decided against the camel trek because of the heat. Just save it for your next trip to Morocco :)

Please note that I no longer recommend Magdi Hanna as a desert guide.

After I posted this a number of people wanted to know why. Here it is.

Since my first recommendation, Mr. Hanna & I became friendly. I know I disclosed that on recent recommendations. Something happened recently which caused me to reconsider that friendliness and I no longer wish to have my name associated with his. That's all.

I think you are going to regret it more if will not do it. Late June is nt a very bad time for that, its time when it starts to get hotter in the desert, I understand that many think that its unbearable in desert in summer time!! In fact its not a big deal with the heat, The worst is when you come across a sandstorm!!!!
Do your camel trekking Im sure you gona enjoy it.
Good luck
