Delta to Stop Direct Flight from ATL to JNB
 

Can anyone confirm this?

Looks like after August 22nd it will not exist anymore.

As far as I can tell, that is NOT correct. The flight is showing, scheduled as normal, well into 2011. Happy travels everyone!

Not sure where you get your info but it is not supported. Delta is booking tickets well past that date. Im scheduled on 8/26 and there are no indications that this route has been cancelled. Highly doubtful that Delta would cancel a route without significant advance notice. So I would give ZERO credibility to this post without some sort of documentation from Delta.

Perhaps it is a different flight number but that flight is a major cargo money maker besides being full everyday according to a friend who flies for them.

Perhaps you have gotten confused with the fact that DL is dropping the SECOND flight they added for select days of the week to accommodate the high traffic for the World Cup and summer travel?
If you really wanted to know the accurate info, you could have gone to delta.com for the answer by requesting a flight after that date.
