My wife and I did Delta in October...GSP-ATL-Dakar-JNB. We had no issues at all. We flew Air France on the way home with a stop over in Paris and landing in ATL. Overall the experience with Delta was very good.

mom and i flew delta (coach) in November. JAX-ALT-JNB (fuel stop in DKR) had no complaints. Will be flying Delta (business) in June to Nairobi and will report back after that trip.

This is an old post - but the only thing that came up as I was searching for information regarding flights ATL to Dubai - any updates?

Sfmaster,

I flew the ATL-Dubai route in coach in October 2010. What I can remember--
There were 8-10 elderly passengers in wheelchairs that took awhile to board.
The flight over was full and I had an aisle seat on the center section in the first economy section. Lots of military and contractors on the flight, at least in that section, so the passengers around me were quiet and settled in pretty quickly with their long distance travel accessories.
Nothing memorable about the seat, entertainment, etc.
Limited snacks unlike some of the Asian/Pacific airlines that leave out packets of granola bars, fruit, etc. on long-haul flights.
Returning I only remember the secondary security screening. Men were closely patted down while women were ushered into a small enclosure and barely touched.
Wish I could tell you more, but I've taken two international trips since then and just don't remember.
