dead sea - Israel or Jordan

I am planning to spend a night or two at a dead sea spa - any thoughts on whether I should do this in Israel or Jordan? If I go there while I'm in Jordan, then I probably won't get to climb Masada...is this is a big mistake to miss this?
Any thoughts are appreciated!

For me, missing Masada would have been a significant loss.

While Jordan has built a number of resort/spa properties on their side of the Dead Sea and are probably comparable to those on the Israeli side, I have to agree with abram - don't miss Masada.

Missing Petra is also a big loss! The Jordanian side is surely not as developed as the Israeli side but it's cheaper, peaceful and the people are very friendly.

I just got back from Jordan - stayed at Kempinski-Ishtar in Jordan. It was beautiful!!!! I have more info about it at http://www.bombasticlife.com/pme-jor...kempinski.html

I did Petra and Jarash (sp?) - they are sites that must be seen!
