Cruise from Luxor to Aswan
Hi,
my husband and I are planning on taking a cruise from Luxor to Aswan or vise versa this February. We have been offered MS Sara and MS Radamis II . We would like to know which of these is better ... in terms of service, food quality and amenities. Has anyone tried any of these ? Please give us your inputs. Thank you very much. |
radamis II or MS Sara for a Nile Cruise... HELP !!! whic is better ?

I haven't heard of either of those boats. Have you checked Cruise Critic or run a google search?
|
Most guidebooks say that going from Aswan to Luxor is the best way of cruising.
|
dutyfree, isn't the only difference that in one direction it's usually a 3-night cruise and in the other direction, it's 4 nights?
|
Maybe thats it and if I remember something about going through the locks at night. Having a brain fart at this hour of the night-sorry.

The Radamis II is a Movenpick boat - I think and should be pretty good. I'm not sure about the MS Sara.
Do keep in mind that all boats change help, get run down, and can go from good to bad in a month. You can only hope that who ever gives you a report traveled on these boats recently and the boat management hasn't changed. I don't want to sound pessimistic about it, but I just want to make it clear that most of the boats are probably OK, but they all will have bad reports come off them at times. They all have to go in for repairs and if you are in a room that needs repairs before it goes in, your experience is going to be less than the best. Aswan to Luxor is usually Fri-Sat-Sun- disembark on Mon Luxor to Aswan is usually Mon-Tues-Wed-Thurs - disembark on Fri. NOT ALWAYS - but usually They see the same sights - going south just takes one more night. |
