Cosmos Tour
Can anyone tell me is Cosmos is a decent tour company? I'm going to Morocco with them.

I have read on these forums that they, Comos, try to sell you alot of optional side trips and also steer you to shops and rest. that they get a kickback. If you have already booked, relax, and enjoy your trip and don't worry so much, most of the tour companies do this same thing, some are just more aggessive than others, having said that, I am sure you will have a wonderful trip, buck

Hi Muriel,

I've taken 2 Cosmos trips (Italy and Thailand) and been very satisfied with both. My mother knows someone who took their Spain, Portugal, and Morocco trip and enjoyed it.

The tour guides that I had did not hard sell the optional tours and we had very few shopping stops. Of course, this probably varies a lot with the destination and guide.

I recently went on a Trafalgar tour and we had a very strong sales pitch for the optionals. Basically, we were told if we went on our own we would see nothing and have a bad time! Fortunately, I had travelled enough to know this wasn't true, but some people spent a lot of extra money on these tours.

Morocco sounds fascinating. Have a great trip.

We took the Cosmos Jewels of Morocco tour last June and loved it. It was our 3rd Cosmos tour - you will find Morocco fascinating! If you have specific questions, please feel free to ask! I love to travel talk about Morocco!

My wife and I have traveled with Cosmos on two occasions, both completely satisfactory. They kept every promise made. Comfortable quarters, OK food, clean bus, good baggage-handling, right on schedule. Good value for money.
