Comments Plz!!! Impalila Island in Namibia

Has anyone been here? It is located in the Caprivi Stip area of Namibia and I would like feedback plz! Trying to put together a family safari for July 2006 and this is one of the suggested lodges/camps.
Also comments on taking a 12 year old ... is he likely to get bored?

I visited Caprivi area in January 05. We stayed in an island near Impalila Island. I find the area fantastic. Lotís of water, ant thousands of Elephants. You can do game drives by boat (chobe river), - I really loved- and you can book also a game drive in Chobe Park (by 4x4).
I think you have a fantastic lodge in Impalila Island.
Theses Islands are Namibian, but they are just a few minutes by boat, from Botswana.
From this area, we can also visit Victoria Falls Ė (1.30 h drive).
We can look for other posts in this forum about Impalila Island.

Enjoy.

Hello,
We recently spent two weeks in Namibia including four nights at Impalila Island Lodge. We loved it. Fantastic accommodation, game viewing, food, staff...
I posted a fairly detailed trip report here: http://www.fodors.com/forums/pgMessa...4&tid=34632364

I wouldn't imagine that a 12-year old would be bored with all the boat-based activities, wonderful game viewing, etc., although it probably depends on the 12-year old!
